WE’RE IN SOME OF THE MOST PROSPEROUS TIMES IN HISTORY!
Yet, many people are emotionally exhausted, anxious, isolated, and quietly hurting. The data is clear. There’s something important to say in this hour about mental and emotional health. That journey looks different for everyone. But after the prayers, sermons, Scriptures, altar calls, and self-will… there also comes the work of understanding the wounded parts of our story — and learning to understand the stories of those we love. I’m not pretending to have it all figured out. I’m simply learning more each day about the relationship between theology and therapy, faith and healing, spirituality and emotional health. More and more, I find myself drawn toward both instead of either/or. Don’t fight alone. Live — and be alive. May we create so much safety in our relationships that vulnerability, honesty, and transparency become natural instead of isolation, performance, and numbing. Below are a few listens, reads, and resources for those looking for clarity, healing, and a safe place to T.A.L.K. (Time • Attention • Love • Kindness)
